EXAMINING THE TOP 12 REASONS WHY THE PATRIOTS WILL BEAT THE TEXANS

BOING! BOING! BOING!By Rock Mayock 11:30 p.m. | The Wild Card round of the playoffs are in the books and the Packers, Ravens, Seahawks, and Texans have all moved on to the  Divisional round. Therefore next weekend will feature such gripping matchups as the Ravens at Broncos (Saturday, January 12 @ 1:30 p.m. on CBS), Packers at 49ers (Saturday, January 12 @ 5 p.m. on FOX), Seahawks at Falcons (Sunday, January 13 @ 10:00 a.m.  on FOX) and Texans at Patriots (Sunday, January 13 @ 1:30 p.m. on CBS).With a high degree of certainty we can assume the Broncos will best the Ravens, the 49ers will handle the Packers and the Seahawks defense will throttle the Falcons. As a result there is no point in watching any one of these games unless you bet money on them.

NFL PECKING ORDER: PEYTON MANNING, MARIO WILLIAMS, AND REGGIE BUSH

Mario Willliams Bills Reggie Bush Peyton ManningBy Jaboner Jackson 12:30 p.m.  |  In the 2006 NFL Draft, the prized popular choice of the draft for the Houston Texans was Reggie Bush, the shifty running back out of USC.  Newspapers and media outlets both in Houston and nationally began to call games in which the lowly Texans played towards the end of the 2005-06 season as the “Reggie Bowl.”  The winner of the Reggie Bowl was going to be the team that would lose more games at the end of the season, thereby guaranteeing the winner of the Reggie Bowl the number one overall pick in the draft.  The Texans won the Reggie Bowl with a 2-14 record, and everyone—from local papers to the big boys at ESPN—began the countdown for when Bush would become a Texan.

INJURY UPDATE: PEYTON MANNING’S NECK SURGERY AND ARIAN FOSTER’S HAMSTRING (UPDATED)

Arian Foster Injury HamstringBy Jaboner Jackson 8 am | Updated at 230 pm | We reviewed the injuries of Peyton Manning and Arian Foster previously with our team medical expert, Hassan A. Riaz, MD, MBA.  When we spoke to Dr. Riaz about Manning a month ago, he had expressed concern about Manning’s second neck surgery. He had also worried about Foster’s first hamstring injury.  Manning has finally been taken off of the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list but Foster has suffered another pulled hamstring.  I caught up with Dr. Riaz early this morning to get his thoughts on these two players.  As always, Dr. Riaz is not treating the aforementioned players and is relying on publically available information to form his opinions.
