FIVE WAYS TO KEEP BUSY DURING THE NFL OFFSEASON
By Jessica C. at 3 a.m. | The NFL Draft is over. And face it--OTA's are boring. They're for coaches to find out which man on the 90-something roster sucks less. So when the dog days of summer start to hit, don't count on football to bail you out. (Don't count on any of the FOOTBALLPHDS--except for Doubletap, whose always a sweetheart--on bailing you out of jail either…but that's a story for a different day.) Instead, here are my Five Ways To Keep Busy During the NFL Offseason.

BRITTANY LAUREN’S WORKOUT OF THE DAY
By Brittany Lauren, FOOTBALLPHDS’ personal trainer, photo by Edwin “EJ” Jiminez, 1:00 p.m. | Ugh! It is so hot! It’s been sweltering all week and Rock is too cheap to run the AC. If you’re like me then the only way to get some relief is at the pool or beach, but that means you need a banging body. Good thing I found the perfect workout to get you into great bikini/Speedo shape.

CELEBRATING SUMMER TIME IN THE LBC: REMEMBERING SUBLIME
By Rock Mayock 9:00 a.m. | In the mid-1990’s marked the era of punk ska music as bands like No Doubt and Phish hit the airwaves. No Doubt enjoyed tremendous commercial success due to their catchy tunes and the BOING! factor of front woman Gwen Stefani. Phish enjoyed an underground cult status due to their crunchy grooves and hippy fans. Although both of these bands are good, there is one punk ska band that will always hold a special place in the hearts of the FOOTBALLPHDS and that band is Sublime.

BREAKING NEWS: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20, 2012, IS THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER
By Rock Mayock 9:00 a.m. | Memorial Day may have marked the unofficial start of Summer but today is the actual summer solstice. The summer solstice occurs when the axial tilt of a planet’s (the Earth) semi axis in a given hemisphere is most inclined towards the star (the Sun) which it orbits. The solstice event occurs twice a year and during the solstice the Sun will reach its highest position in the sky as seen from the North or South Pole. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere the summer solstice typically falls between June 20 – June 22.

SUMMERTIME IN THE LBC: DOING DONUTS WITH CAMERON DIAZ
By Jaboner Jackson 12 pm | Our Summertime In The LBC continues with our favorite LBC’er, Cameron Diaz, showing us all how to do donuts in the parking lot. We have fond memories of doing donuts in high school to impress the ladies. (It never worked for us.) And now Cameron is trying to impress us, which may or may not be because a certain PHD who may or may not be me may or may not have hung up the cell phone on babygirl Cameron last night when she may or may not have been lambasting me for for not wanting to watch “White Chicks” on DVD with her again.

SUMMERTIME IN THE LBC: CHASING URBAN LEGENDS
Posted by Rock Mayock 6:30AM This weekend is July 4th weekend and that can mean only one thing: its officially Summertime in the LBC. The FOOTBALLPHDS have always had strong ties to the LBC, however there are mysteries to the city that remain unanswered by the PhDs. One such mystery has been a topic of heated debate between Jaboner, DoubleTap and Rock for almost 15 years. That mystery is the supposed existence of Midget Town.
