NAME THE STACHE

stacheBy Rock Mayock 10:00 p.m. |Good evening wonderful readers. Tonight we return with another installment of Name the Stache. Tonight’s stache continues the month long theme of Halloween/costumes.

Please evaluate the mustache on the left. The black & white image suggests the photo is from the pre-1960’s… or is it? Here are a two vague hints to help you identify this oddly shaped stache.

1. This individual’s TV & movie career started in 1962 and spanned all the way through 2003.

2. During his storied career his memorable roles include portraying a rabbi, a deaf man and an industrial tycoon.

If you think you know who the stache belongs then you can either e-mail Cousin Felipe (admin@footballphds.com) or myself (rock@footballphds.com) your answer or simply include your e-mail address with your comment to this post. Make sure your answer is your best and final because we do not accept mulligans. The first correct answer will win some crappy prize from Cousin Felipe’s bag of fun. All answers must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 25. Both the owner of the stache and the winner will be revealed on Friday.

Good luck and good guessing.

  1. The original Pitbull, Yul Brynner

  2. That’s Gene Wilder’s mustache from “Young Frankenstein”.

Classic film with plenty of memorable lines and great performances, especially by Wilder as Dr. Frankenstein, Marty Feldman as Igor (“EYE-gore”), and Peter Boyle of “Everybody Loves Raymond” fame as The Monster.

  3. Wow, I’m an idiot…second time in a row that I forgot to submit my name. Resubmitting my guess:
