Patinkin’s career started in the late 1970’s with bit roles in television programs such as Taxi and American Playhouse but his career took off with his portrayal of Inigo Montoya in the 1987 classic The Princess Bride.
The Princess Bride is the rare combination of chick flick, family movie and guy friendly action adventure that still resonates with audiences. With performances from household names such as Peter Falk, Billy Crystal and Andre the Giant there are an abundance of memorable scenes in this movie however nothing is more memorable than Patinkin’s proclamation "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”
