NAME THE STACHE

StacheBy Rock Mayock 11:00 p.m. |  While 90% of Americans spent their Sunday watching the start of the NFL season, the FOOTBALLPHDS were hunkered down watching the Ancient Aliens marathon on History Channel and searching for something that our wonderful readers can name. This week we have a very distinguished stache that demands identification.

Take several minutes to study the stache on the left. The stache is perfectly coifed and styled. The shape and fullness suggest an almost regal quality. A stache this nice only comes along every so often. A stache like this is sore rare that this picture was captured all the way back in 1988. Have you identified the owner yet? If not here are a couple of hints.

1. This individual has enjoyed a storied career that has spanned the better part of 56 years.

2. This individual shares something in common with Bob Hope, Sidney Poitier and  Bill Gates.

If you know who the stache belongs to then either include your e-mail address with your response to this post or e-mail me your answer. All answers must be your best and final one because we do not accept do overs. Only one answer per person per week and the first correct answer wins. All answers must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. PT on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Both the man with the stache and the winner will be announced on Friday.

Good luck and good guessing.
