By Rock Mayock 7:30 p.m.| 1980’s heart throb and all around great performance artist Val Kilmer. Kilmer’s career started as a stage actor before his break out performance as the Elvis wannabe Nick Rivers in the Zucker Brothers’ classic Top Secret!. From there Kilmer went on to star in iconic 1980’s movies Real Genius, Top Gun and Willow.
The 1990’s treated Val just as good, if not better, than the 1980’s did. Kilmer notched lead roles in The Doors, Heat, Batman Forever, True Romance, The Saint and The Island of Dr. Moreau. However the best performance of Kilmer’s illustrious career was as gunslinger Doc Holliday in the 1993 George Cosmatos western Tombstone. His portrayal of Holliday was so good it resulted with years of “I’m your huckleberry” comments from would be tough guys.
