NAME THE STACHE

stache 2By Rock Mayock 10:00 p.m. |  It’s week two of the month long ode to National Culinary Arts Month. Last week we paid homage to the Muppet culinary master The Swedish Chef. This week we are honoring the mustache of a real life, and recently retired, master chef.

Who does this grainy looking stache belong to? Here are your hints:

1. In the world of culinary arts, in particular competitive culinary arts, this gentleman is a true G.

2.  Although his culinary skills are unmatched, his favorite food is the simple nashi (Japanese) pear.

3. This culinary artist places so much confidence in his skills that he once made trout ice cream. Yum!

If you know who the stache belong to then follow these steps. You can e-mail me (rock@footballphds.com) your best and final answer or include your e-mail address in your comment to this post. The first person to submit correct answer wins a prize from Cousin Felipe’s bag of fun whenever he gets back from Brazil. As always we will only accept one answer per person per week and there are no take backs. All answers must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012. Both owner of the stache and the winner will be named on Friday.

Good luck.

  1. Hiroyuki Sakai. A masterful mustache for a master chef.

  2. You not know! I know Bobby Flay

  3. Crazy guess: Charles Bronson. I didn’t think he was a chef but that’s gotta be his stache
