THE STACHE BELONGS TO…

AC GreenBy Rock Mayock 9:00 a.m. | Former Oregon State Beavers and Los Angeles Lakers star power forward/center AC Green, Jr. Some people associate Green with the three championships he won with the Lakers but most others recognize Green as the man who maintained his virginity longer than he maintained his record of consecutive NBA games played. Truly impressive.

Green started four years at Oregon State where he was named a Third Team All American in 1985. Upon graduation Green was drafted with the 23rd overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft by the Pat Riley coached Los Angeles Lakers. During Green’s first tour of duty with the Lakers (1985-1993) the team won two World Championships and he was named an all star in 1990.

After stints with the Suns and Mavericks, Green returned to the Lakers for 1999-2000 seasons. During this time period the Lakers won their 12th NBA Championship, Green’s 3rd. Throughout Green’s 16 year NBA career he achieved the Cal Ripken Jr. status of being the league’s Iron Man due to his streak of 1,192 consecutive games played.

It is well documented that Green is a devout Christian who ardently believes the pre-marital sex is a sin. During his time with the Showtime Lakers Green’s team mates (Magic) would often try to tempt him with breezies and Laker groupies but Green would deflect their advances by citing scripture.  The good news for AC is that he finally broke his 39 year drought in 2002 when he wed his beloved wife Veronique.

Congratulations to Paulie Walnuts for once again being the first person to correctly name the stache. Oddly enough Paulie Walnuts is a treasure trove of knowledge when it comes to wrestlers, porn stars and virgins. Nonetheless, your eclectic knowledge will be rewarded by Cousin Felipe and his box of prizes.

Check in on Sunday for another opportunity to name something and win a prize.
