REMINDER: GAME 4 OF THE STANLEY CUP FINALS IS TOMORROW NIGHT.
By Rock Mayock 11:45 p.m. | Although the FOOTBALLPHDS are predominately football centric, our first and true love will always be the city of Los Angeles. With that in mind we are jumping on the hockey bandwagon and supporting our newly beloved Los Angeles Kings as they look to capture their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Tomorrow night (June 6) the Kings face the New Jersey Devils in Game 4 of a best of seven series. The Kings currently lead the Devils 3-0 and the puck drops at 5:00 p.m. PT at Staples Center. If you can’t make it to Staples to watch the game live then be sure to catch the game on NBC-SN, formerly known as Vs.
In preparation of our Kings attempting to close out the series please keep the following things in mind:
1. If you’re going to Staples Center please plan your travel time accordingly. Expect delays for traffic and parking.
2. Disorderly conduct and wanton destruction of property are not acceptable forms of celebration.
3. Have a good time. Championships are hard to come by.
4. The LA Kings Ice Crew Girls are quite possibly hotter than the Clipper Spirit and the Lakers Girls. Who knew?
5. Last but not least, GO KINGS!

Never too late to jump on the bandwagon. Drinks at Hotel Fig and then Staples. Kings are bringing it home tonight.

The Kings winning the Stanley Cup is good and bad because it is telling about the state of affairs for LA sports. We have no professional football team and even though FF and Industry stadiums are getting a ton of press, nothing is going to happen for the foreseeable future. The Lakers are a trainwreck. Kobe is old and is ripping the team apart again because he can’t get along with anyone. The Dodgers are in first place but the MLB season has not even hit the All Star break. USC might be good this year but college football is college football and you never know what you’re going to get. So when hockey is the #1 thing to brag about your city isn’t doing all that great.
