WEEKLY ROLL CALL ROCK MAYOCK STYLE

By Rock Mayock 11:30 p.m. |  While Jaboner Jackson enjoys some much needed time off he requested that Darryl “DoubleTap” Jenkins III and yours truly, Rock Mayock, assume a more active role in bringing our wonderful readers the insight and analysis they have come to expect from the FOOTBALLPHDS. Unfortunately DoubleTap has once again pulled a Chuck Norris and is currently missing in action. As a result Rock will present last week’s roll call and give a glimpse of coming attractions.

Last week was light in terms of coverage with an emphasis on the college game. We touched base on USC spring ball and evaluated their projected 2013 recruiting class. You can read more about it here.

Throughout the month of May the FOOTBALLPHDS paid homage to Asian Pacific Islanders of historical note. The month was capped off by a special segment honoring the great Norm “The Guru” Chow. You can find the complete compilation of Guru material here.

While trying to avoid the sportspocalypse occurring at Staples Center we spent time exploring ways to spend Facebook IPO gains as well as ways to waste time if you’re Blake Griffin. If you forgot what happened at Staples Center two weekends ago you can refresh your memory here.

Looking ahead the FOOTBALLPHDS have a full docket of material waiting for your review.

Jaboner will continue his expert analysis of the agreed upon in principle People’s Stadium in Minnesota in addition to the tenuous renovation situation with the Edward Jones Dome.  At some point during the Summer he will also re-stack rank the primary players who are most likely to relocate to either Farmers Field or Grand Crossing.

DoubleTap will continue to leak Hollywood gossip as it comes up. Rumor has it he is currently on location filming in 5D. We don’t know if he’s referring to a Canon camera or something else we have never heard of.

Rochelle and said she is meeting up with EJ some time in June. Hopefully we will see some new pictures.

Lastly, I will break down the Cal Memorial Stadium renovation financing fiasco. Trust me when I tell you the situation is nothing short of a financial train wreck. I will also be issuing a Pac-12 pre-media day primer for all 12 schools.

Let’s all hope that Jaboner comes back soon to resume his roll call duties. Remember this week is an abbreviated work week. If you didn’t get Monday off, here is a gift.
