By Jaboner Jackson 8 a.m. | Last week, footballphds.com delved into AEG's recent missteps with their planned downtown Los Angeles stadium, Farmers Field. We examined the NFL's concerns with a team's "fixed return" and investigated delayed designs for Farmers Field. Despite these missteps, AEG remains squarely focused on securing the San Diego Chargers as their anchor tenant. This has paved the way for Majestic Realty to hone in on the Oakland Raiders for their competing stadium in City of Industry, Los Angeles Stadium (LA Stadium). Today, we detail how AEG's faltering, estate tax planning, and debt financing creates the perfect storm for the Raiders' possible return to Los Angeles.
By Rock Mayock 10:00AM Happy Holidays everyone! Hopefully your stockings were chocked full of Christmas cheer this morning. As a special gift to our Wonderful Readers we a have new installment of Name the… Today we are entering uncharted territory, abs.
Posted by Felipe Trinidad, Webmaster, 2:00PM from Las Vegas I can’t wait because tomorrow is finally Christmas. My moms wanted to invite Darryl and Cousins Jaboner and Rock over for Christmas Eve dinner tonight so she asked me to do the cooking. I don’t mind cooking after Cousin Jaboner paid to send me to culinary camp a couple of years ago. Cousin Jaboner said that a man that knows how to cook a piece of meat can get any girl he wants. I don’t this is true because what if the girls is a vegetarian?
By Jaboner Jackson 1 p.m. | Ari Ivy, our Human Resources intern, has been with us since the start of fall. He has focused on the AFC West while learning the finer points of organizational management within our bizarre company culture. He is a graduate student in downtown Los Angeles. More importantly, he is our first male staff member. Since the FOOTBALLPHDS consider our Intelligent Staff and Wonderful Readers as two parts of the same family, we decided it was time to formally introduce him, something he has resisted until now. But during our weekly bowling league, we forced him to either do an interview or consent to a photo shoot with our team photographers. He chose the interview.
Posted by Felipe Trinidad, Webmaster, 11:30PM from Las Vegas I used to love Christmas but now I am getting tired of it because Cousin Jaboner and Cousin Rock forced me to write about it so many times. I already told people about my favorite Christmas songs, the toys I asked Santa for but never got, my collection of Christmas sweaters, my favorite Christmas movies, my favorite Justin Bieber Christmas jam, my least favorite Christmas commercials, Hunky Santa and Sexy Mrs. Claus.
By Rock Mayock 10:00AM As previously explored by FOOTBALLPHDS, Norm Chow’s illustrious 39-year coaching career has taken him across the nation as the most sought after assistant, yet never head coach. All of this changed on December 22, 2011, when Norm The Guru Chow was introduced as the new head coach of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (FOOTBALLPHDS refuses to acknowledge Hawaii as the Warriors). Chow’s hiring marks two significant milestones; Chow’s first opportunity as a head coach and Chow becoming the first Asian American to be hired as the head coach of a Division I college football program. To fully appreciate The Guru’s most recent accomplishment it is important to recap the journey that brought him to this juncture.
By Rock Mayock 8:00AM Kansas City Chiefs interim head coach Romeo Crennel. Behind Big Romeo (not to be confused with Lil Romeo) the Chiefs upset the heavily favored Green Bay Packers’ 19-14, and ended their run for an undefeated season.
Posted by Felipe Trinidad, Webmaster, 11:45PM from Las Vegas Yesterday I took my sister Patty’s advice and I put up pictures of Hunky Santa Claus. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Hunky Santa but some of my friends made fun of me and called me names. I think it’s because they’re jealous they’re not hunky like Santa is.
